The Best Air Cleaner.

The Hammacher Schlemmer Institute commissioned an independent laboratory to test the most advanced air cleaners available, and this one was rated best for its cleaning effectiveness, ease of use, and low noise output. Unlike other models with filters that cannot remove air impurities smaller than 0.3 microns (recycling impurities back into the air), the three mechanical and electrostatic filters in this air cleaner capture 99.97% of 0.1 micron particles, including allergy provoking pollen grains, dust mites, mold spores, tobacco smoke, and pet dander particles, resulting in an average Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) of 437.5, 28% higher than the next best cleaner tested. The air cleaner uses patented HEPASilent filters that allow air to flow freely through the unit, eliminating the need for powerful, noisy fans found in lesser models, and filtered air is discharged diffusely from vents that are six times larger than the average air cleaner's, resulting in no noticeable draft. Despite its quiet operation, the device is powerful enough to recycle air in 680' sq. room six times every hour. The filters are easily accessed and replaced through the top panel, the three-speed fan is controlled with a turn of a dial, the lightweight design and casters allow ease of maneuverability, and the exterior wipes clean with a damp cloth.
