The Laptop HDTV Receiver. This is the diminutive portable device that plugs into a laptop computer and allows you to receive and record local high-definition television content because it uses the same ATSC tuner found in full-sized HDTVs. Simple to use, the receiver plugs into a USB port on a laptop or any other desktop computer, and an included magnetic HD antenna plugs into the receiver with a 79" cord, allowing you to place the antenna in the best location for reception. It also includes an adapter with composite and S-video input cables that plugs into the receiver, allowing you to pull an HD signal into the receiver, which converts it to the HD 1080i standard, and re-direct them to an HD-ready TV that does not have its own ATSC tuner. lows you to view HD content on your computer and record content as MPEG2 or AVI files; files can be burned directly to your hard drive or a DVD (DVD burner not included).
