The Kitchen Counter Herb Garden.

This is the indoor garden that provides you with all the necessary light, moisture, air, and nutrients for you to grow your own gourmet herbs right at your kitchen counter--all without soil, sunlight, weeds, pesticides, or prior gardening experience. The garden holds seven pods that contain a single seed embedded in a sponge; placing the matching transparent plastic dome onto each pod allows the seed to achieve necessary temperature for germination. An organic-based nutrient-rich water solution stored in the garden's reservoir is pumped through a network of channels in the garden's grow surface and delivered directly to each of the seed pods by a drip irrigation system, ensuring proper moisture. Two 26-watt full-spectrum fluorescent bulbs p rovide up to 24 hours of optimal light. A micro-processor automatically adjusts nutrient and light delivery to pods as they grow, providing the necessary treatment for plants at germination, initial growth, and mature growth stages. Includes nutrient tabs and seven herb seed pods, including dill, chives, cilantro, oregano, mint, and two varieties of basil.
