This oversized cashmere throw--nearly 6' long--is made from the finest fibers available, hand-combed with precise care to separate coarse guard hairs from the delicate hairs of the underfleece. Each spring on the highland steppes of inner Asia, nomadic herdsmen can be found among flocks of Capra hircus Laniger, harvesting the under down from the saddles of this species of goat, famous for centuries for producing one of the world's rarest and softest fibers. The throw's fibers are dyed and spun into fine 2-ply yarn with 24 stitches per 4"--all this attention to quality results in our cashmere throw that provides nine times the warmth of regular wool without the scratchy texture.
