The Best Commuter Cup.
After rigorous testing by the Hammacher Schlemmer Institute, this commuter cup proved to be the best of 2009 because it is the easiest to drink from and does not leak, even when inverted. It received top marks when analysts were able to turn the commuter cup upside down and shake it vigorously without a single drop escaping. When the button on the lid is pressed, you can sip from anywhere on the rim, eliminating the need to locate a narrow spout when driving. The commuter cup's dual-wall design and vacuum insulation ensure optimal temperature retention, while preventing the transfer of heat or cold to the exterior. During tests, the temperature of hot water decreased by only 221³2º F after two hours, while lesser models lost as much as 62 1/2º F. In cold-retention tests, the temperature of ice water increased by only 8º F after two hours, while other models allowed the water temperature to increase by as much as 28º F. The commuter cup's handleless, slim design ensures ease of portability and allows for use in a car's cup holder. Made from 18/8 stainless steel; 17-oz. capacity. Includes a carrying case and a stainless-steel filter for steeping loose-leaf tea. 9 1/4" H x 3" Diam. (13 oz.)
