This device converts family movies, favorite TV shows, or any cherished memories recorded on old VHS tapes to digital video so they can be viewed, edited and archived on your computer. With the converted footage saved as MPEG4 files, the included software makes it easy to record your videos onto DVDs (requires DVD +RW drive on your computer) or upload them to portable video devices, such as video iPods. The unit connects easily to your PC via the included USB cable (USB 2.0 required); you can also use the RCA inputs on the front to transfer footage recorded on a camcorder.
