Rated as a Class II laser product, each beam produces less than 1 mw--less power than typical classroom laser pointers--yet the light's overall 5mw power and 160° spread produces enough light to illuminate large ballrooms. It easily fits in a pocket or purse, and there are no moving parts to replace. The high-diffraction-efficiency optical element used to create the beams has a 1,000-hour life span.
