The prolific artist created over 200 paintings depicting the RCMP in their distinctive red serge uniforms, and this lustrous, porcelain stein features perhaps his most famous—1963’s “Maintain the right”— on its front. The enduring motto of the Mounties, “Maintiens le droit”, is featured in a golden ribbon design below the art while four golden service stars gleam above. The regal RCMP crest is reproduced on the opposite side (and on the thumb rest). A sculpted metal topper of an officer on horseback serves as a salute to the ceremonial RCMP Musical Ride, while embossed artwork, representing the natural beauty of Canada, wraps around the lid.
