This is the device that easily authenticates karat grades of gold. Without the messy gels, staining chemicals, or dangerous acids used by other authentication techniques, the authenticator's pure gold-tipped electrode measures the electromagnetic frequency produced by a tested object using a safe saline solution that acts as an electrolyte. Pure gold will yield zero volts - its tested karats are indicated immediately by a panel of LEDs that range from six to 24 karats. Non-gold, gold plate, or gold-filled objects will reveal their true natures as "NA." It can also distinguish between platinum, tungsten, stainless steel, and white gold.
