This the wool vest woven with the classic buffalo plaid pattern, named for the red and black checkered blankets bartered for buffalo hides in the 1800s. Made by Woolrich, crafters of fine wool clothing for over 180 years, the wool is brushed and shaved four times, resulting in a finish that is exceptionally smooth and soft yet resists pilling. The reversible, fully lined vest has a 100% quilted nylon interior and it is meticulously tailored to allow freedom of movement for the arms yet the tight weave helps keep core heat close to the body. The exterior of the vest has two pockets with snap closures and two slit pockets while the interior has two additional pockets. A 2 1/2" high stand-up collar protects the neck from cold winds.
