This Earth-safe television remote control replicates the famous Sonic Screwdriver from the BBC's beloved Doctor Who series. The device features the iconic flashing green tip, metal claws, and copper accents of the Eleventh Doctor's trademark tool and controls a TV using simple hand gestures. Through a voice-guided setup process, humanoids teach the fully functional remote to associate one of 13 hand gestures with a specific task on a standard infrared remote - for example, rotating the screwdriver clockwise could raise the TV volume or tapping its left side could bring up the channel menu. Foamasi words, atomic reactor alarms, and other time-traveling sound effects accompany the movements, or the screwdriver can operate silently. When in Standby and "FX" modes, after 1963 flashes from the green light - the year the show debuted - the screwdriver blinks one of 11 Morse code messages.
