The Admiral Byrd Lambskin Duffle

Was $299.95 NOW $249.95

This is the lambskin duffle bag made by the same renowned leathercrafters that supplied leather jackets and gloves to explorers during Admiral Byrd’s Antarctic expedition. Scully, the 112-year-old leather manufacturer, also provided leather flying helmets, jackets, and gloves to aviators during both World Wars, and their contribution to history is featured on display at both the Smithsonian Institute and the Museum of Flight in Seattle. Inspired by the company’s warm leather jackets, the duffle is vegetable-tanned and aniline-dyed into an antique brown, pebbled grain that imparts an heirloom-like quality. It has a large zippered compartment for stowing travel essentials and side pockets on either end for smaller accessories or electronics. With two handles and a removable padded shoulder strap. Brown. 19" L x 10" W x 9 1/2" D. (5 lbs.)
