This is the classic duster that evokes the roughriding, adventurous spirit of America's Old West. Tailored from durable 100% nubuck cow leather made supple by a meticulous tanning process, the lush natural-grained texture is buffed to a velvet-smooth surface without the stiffness of the traditional canvas construction of the original 19th-century styles. Unlike pigments that are applied to disguise flaws in leather, the drum dyeing process used for this duster provide rich color depth to the natural characteristics of leather. The distressed cowhide collar provides pleasing color contrast. The coat has a six snap front closure beneath the placket and adjustable two-snap cuffs. It has a generous back vent, a feature of the originals that allowed the wearer to easily mount, ride, and dismount a horse. The body is lined with a plain weave lightweight 55% wool/45% polyester blend, and the sleeves are lined with 100% polyester twill weave. It has two outer slash pockets.
