This is the monitor stand that puts all the most common computer inputs and multimedia ports on the front for quick access. While elevating a monitor to an ergonomic eye-level height, this riser offers simpler and more accessible connectivity for such everyday inputs as headphone and microphone jacks; an SD card reader; and four USB 2.0 ports (three in front, plus one in back for permanent wired connections best kept out of sight). The riser is also a retractable, 30-pin docking station for charging iPhones or iPads (iPhone 5 charges via USB), and contains two built-in speakers with an independent volume control dial. The speakers relay sound from a docked iPod, iPhone, or iPad, or by connecting a computer or any other audio device through the included auxiliary cable. A shelf in the center keeps crucial documents or office supplies at an arm's length. Solid MDF construction with rubber feet for stability.
