This is the lady’s wristwatch modeled after an original timepiece belonging to Empress Elizabeth of Russia. Considered one of Russia’s most beloved monarchs, Elizabeth reigned for nearly 22 years and greatly influenced the Russian Empire’s art and culture through elaborate balls, the creation of a state theater, and overseeing the construction of the famous Winter Palace. The original gold timepiece was designed by James Delander, bejeweled with diamonds and emeralds, featured George Etherington movement, and is in the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
