The Folding Auxillary Entertaining Island

This sturdy island constructed of solid basswood requires no assembly and unfolds in seconds to create a stable entertaining platform by adding 8 3/4' sq. of storage or preparation space. The precision patented folding mechanism uses 28 brass hinges that fold the unit to 5 1/2" wide and 34 1/2" tall for compact storage when not in use, yet lock the island securely open when needed as a mobile service for hors d'oeurves or drinks. The underside of the 36" high tabletop has slots that will accommodate up to 12 inverted wine glasses, which will suspend safely over ten wine bottles stored punt-to-punt on the middle shelf.
