The kit’s false keel, hollow hull planking, laser-cut ribs, decking, masts, and yardarms are made from quality hardwoods, its pre-cut sails from undyed linen, rigging from dyed cotton thread, and metal turnings, castings, and engravings from photo-etched brass. A swiveling vice keeps the keel secure during construction, enabling you to put the finishing touches on the vessel’s gold-painted female red deer figurehead. The instruction booklet provides detailed, step-by-step plans with clearly drawn construction illustrations.
