The Gourmand's Gamble

This is the set of nine dice that challenges the gourmand to prepare a meal from a randomly generated set of ingredients. Ideal for settling competing dinner ideas or imparting whimsy to one’s meal planning, each die represents a different variable: proteins, carbohydrates, seasonal vegetables, herbs, bonus ingredients, and cooking methods. One of the four seasonal dice may be included in a roll (a total of six) for those who prefer to stick to seasonally available vegetables, although the gastronomically adventurous may wish to roll all nine simultaneously. The protein die provides animal or vegetarian options, such as chicken or seitan. A possible six-die winter season outcome might be: sauteed pork with parsnips, mushrooms, and thyme over a bed of rice. Comes in a 4 1/2" H x 3" Diam. glass jar topped with a cork lid. (10 oz.)
