The flatbed feature means irregularly sized documents or thicker paper can be faxed or copied easily, unlike lesser, finicky units that require sheets to be manually fed through them one at a time. The two-line LCD window provides clear on-screen instructions and navigation of a 106-entry phone book; it also clearly displays Caller ID information for incoming faxes or voice callers (requires Caller ID service from a local phone company).
