The Infinite Image Portrait Puzzle

This is the custom jigsaw puzzle kit that reuses the same 300 pieces to re-create any portrait. The puzzle pieces all bear shades and gradients of light or dark sepia tones, and on their own look inauspicious. But when assembled in the custom-designed order and viewed from several feet away, they closely resemble the original image. To begin a custom puzzle, install the included software and upload a favorite JPEG image. The software then generates a map of unique symbols and colors, which act as building instructions. Puzzle builders simply match symbols on the map with those printed on the back of each piece, assembling the 10" x 13 1/4" puzzle on the included cardboard grid. The software can print a thumbnail image of the final portrait to help construction, or the thumbnail can be hidden when giving a custom puzzle design as a surprise gift.
