The Laptop HDTV Receiver

This is the diminutive portable device that plugs into a laptop computer and allows you to receive and record local high-definition television content because it uses the same ATSC tuner found in full-sized HDTVs. Simple to use, the receiver plugs into a USB port on a laptop or any other desktop computer, and an included magnetic HD antenna plugs into the receiver with a 79" cord, allowing you to place the antenna in the best location for reception. It also includes an adapter with composite and S-video input cables that plugs into the receiver, allowing you to pull an HD signal into the receiver, which converts it to the HD 1080i standard, and re-direct them to an HD-ready TV that does not have its own ATSC tuner. Includes software that al lows you to view HD content on your computer and record content as MPEG2 or AVI files; files can be burned directly to your hard drive or a DVD (DVD burner not included). The receiver also has a built-in NTSC tunerthe standard tuner found in all television sets, so you can also receive local non-HD broadcasts. 3 1/2" L x 1" D. (3 oz.)
