This is the prelit Fraser fir that's molded from the branches of a live Abies fraseri to replicate the exact growth patterns, short needles, and upward-growing branch tips of the original tree. The natural look of the trunk is achieved by individually hand-applying resin over a tubular steel core, producing a wood-like grain and texture that mimics real bark. This tree's shape is so realistic, and its needles are so soft, that even tree farmers have mistaken it for a live specimen. Each tree comes pre-lit with your choice of traditional-style clear mini-bulbs or white LEDs, each backed by the Hammacher Schlemmer Lifetime Guarantee. Unlike other trees with short-lived light strands, these have advanced integrated-circuit strands that withstand the failure or removal of multiple bulbs or LEDs.
