Product Story
This is the marble run that plays simple melodies when a marble strikes eight differently tuned chimes positioned along the marble run. Composed of beech towers and troughs that nest into one another to form a spatial instrument that allows children to visualize the musical process, the run is made in Switzerland using precisely machined steel chimes from Germany for mellifluous sound. Melodies are created by using different length troughs that correspond to note lengths (half notes, quarter notes, and eighth notes) and by reordering the chimes; when a marble is released through the course, it strikes each chime at the appropriate rhythm. The run includes a detailed, color-coded songbook. Includes six glass marbles and 34 wooden pieces. Ages 5 and up.
