The Mercurial Animatronic Dimetrodon

Equipped with social skills that have not yet evolved beyond the Permian, this is the capricious, animatronic Dimetrodon that plays catch, dances, and purrs as often as it growls, attacks, and whines. Bearing the ancient reptilian's distinctive dorsal sail and tooth-filled jaws, its head, body, and tail house motion sensors that combine with its robotics to create a puerile, prehistoric pet that can be set to guard a room, attack an intruder, play catch, or sit up on its hind legs. It will beg for food by demanding "gimme some fishy!" and is sated when the included toy fish skeleton is placed in its jaws; a lift of its tail helps it to expend a build-up of gas, accompanied by a knowing chortle of fulfillment. It coos when petted on its head yet cries pitifully while shaking in a petulant fit if it tips over--allowing the fit to run its course results in eventual peace and quiet once it "falls asleep." It will goad a home's cat with "here... kitty kitty!" and will implore "don't stop.... please?" if it wants to be lavished with more affection. Requires five C batteries.
