Product Story

This is the hat that foils annoying mosquitoes with a convertible neck flap and fibers treated with a proprietary insect repellent that’s odor-free and long-lasting. Permethrin, a nontoxic compound that simulates the natural repellent compounds issued by chrysanthemums, is EPA-approved, and recommended by the World Health Organization and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Potentially harmful flies, ticks, and ants are also repelled. The neck flap pulls down from the brim for an extra shield as needed, and then stows away neatly in an interior pocket. Ideal for those traveling to warm climates, it has a moisture-wicking sweatband, ventilated sidewalls, UPF 50+ protection, and a 3" wide brim in front. With an adjustable chin strap. Retains mosquito repellency for 70 washings. Imported. Khaki or Willow. Sizes M, L, and XL.

How To Determine Your Hat Size

To get the proper fit in a hat, we recommend that you measure your head to determine your proper hat size.

How to Measure Your Head
  • Use a good quality tape measure, such as those used for sewing, to achieve the most accurate measurement.
  • Wrap the measuring tape around your head. The tape should be placed where you want the hat to rest, usually 1/8-inch to 1/2-inch above the top of your ears. For the best-looking and most comfortable fit, the bottom of the tape should touch your eyebrows while positioned straight around your head. Don't pull the tape too snugly or your hat will fit that tightly.
  • Once you've positioned the tape exactly where you want it, measure to the nearest one-eighth inch, or three millimeters.
  • Measure your head a second and third time to ensure accuracy.
