Made of sturdy steel alloy with a vertical carbon blade, its top secures a log up to 63/4" in diameter. A mallet or heavy hammer drives a log downward onto the blade while six welded teeth separate even the knottiest batons. Smaller logs are parted easily once a split is started. Its 7 1/4" W x 6 1/4" W base is heavy enough to remain in place while splitting wood.
