This is the music box handcrafted in Sasbach, Germany from local Black Forest oak that plays "Voi Che Sapete" from Act 2 of Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro. The 18-note mechanical chime is inserted into blocks of solid oak, which is turned, sanded, and polished by hand into a 3.62"-diam. flat-bottomed orb finished with natural oils that bring out the natural character of the wood. A nickel-plated brass key winds the chime to play a two-minute excerpt of Mozart's 1786 declaration of "love to love." Smoked Oak. 51/2" H x 31/2" Diam.
