This is the timeless red tricycle that reproduces the classic 1935 Van Doren design and can be inscribed on the side with a child’s name. Often displayed in museums, the original “Streamline Velocipede” was created by noted industrial designer Harold Van Doren with his partner John Gordon Rideout for the American National Company. This child’s version has the same oversized 12"-diam. front wheel, enlarged mudguards and covered frame, and even the winged icons over the back tires. Handcrafted from steel for stability, this vintage ride has sturdy rubber tires, steel spokes, a padded seat for comfort, and adjustable handlebars. Painted a gleaming fire-engine red, its headlight illuminates for visibility during evening jaunts around the neighborhood. The handlebars can be personalized with up to 10 characters.
