The Policemans Megaphone

Made by Fanon Courier, suppliers of megaphones to the New York City Police Department, the Pan Am Games, Universal Studios and the United Nations. This lightweight unit projects a normal 60-decibel speaking voice as far as 300 yards. Ideal for boating, picnics, school events and other outdoor activities, it uses a 10-watt (peak) amplifying circuit board and an acoustically engineered flaring bell to broadcast a strong, distortion-free signal. A noise-canceling condenser microphone reduces background "chatter" and prevents the feedback common with other voice amplification systems. The microphone, an on/off trigger switch and a volume control dial are all located on the handle. High-impact ABS plastic construction is shock- and weather-resistant. Neoprene lip cushion and a nylon wrist strap. Uses eight AA batteries (included). Length 12 3/4". Bell diameter: 7 1/2". (4 lbs.)
