Product Story
This is the shredder that cuts paper into 1/4" x 1/4" unrecognizable confetti and was found to be quieter than any other unit tested by the Hammacher Schlemmer Institute. Unlike lesser strip-cut models that only obscure information and become clogged easily, its commercial quality 1 hp motor and two steel counter-rotating, micro-cutting gears chew through 14 sheets of paper at one time and cut CDs and credit cards into pieces impossible to reassemble or decipher. When shredding 10 sheets of paper, it only registered 79.1 db (no louder than normal conversation). Its 8 1/2-gallon bin pulls out from the cabinet for easy emptying. Rolls smoothly on four hooded casters. With auto-start/stop and reverse. 25 1/2" H x 15 1/2" W x 12" D. (34 lbs.)
