This is the micro-motor that converts a paper airplane into a powered aircraft remotely controlled from a smartphone. With a microcontroller “cockpit”, rear-mounted motor/push propeller, and rudder, the durable carbon fiber fuselage fits into the crease of an airplane you craft from four included standard copier paper templates. An app on a smartphone or tablet controls the airplane from up to 180' away using Bluetooth. Sliding the app’s throttle up/down causes the aircraft to ascend/descend, tilting a smartphone left/right steers the rudder to provide turns, and an artificial horizon displays the turning ratio command from a smartphone; the app also indicates range and battery level. Includes a spare propeller and rudder. Its rechargeable battery provides up to 10-minute flights from a 25-minute charge using the included microUSB cable.
