Modeled after the famous "Gold Rush" recumbent bicycle, which broke several human-powered world speed records, this 21-speed recumbent racing and touring bicycle provides a safe, comfortable ride while achieving speeds of up to 40 mph. The geometry-aerodynamics and weight distribution allow the rider to accelerate to top speed and maintain it effortlessly on this extremely stable bike. Its wind-sculpting, shockproof Lexan windshield and unique Velcro-on body sock combine to reduce wind drag so that the bike travels 20% faster than a standard road bike. Unlike conventional racers that required the rider to pedal downward and cause the straining of the neck, wrists and back, this bicycle pedals forward from the supine position allowing the rider to sit slightly reclined and pedal with less body strain. Its V-style side-pull front and back brakes combined with its low center of gravity allow the bike to come to a complete stop more quickly than an upright bike. The Lycra spandex body sock removes easily and folds to store in a pocket or a bicycle pouch. Frame is aircraft-grade chrome molybdenum steel.
