These leather boots have built-in, reversible cleats that provide traction on snow, ice, and slush. Two sets of tempered steel-studded cleats--one in the forefoot with 11 studs and one in the heel with five studs--are set flush with the sole such that when the cleats are reversed, only the rubber tread will make contact with floors or carpets. On your porch or landing, you need only flip the cleats to expose the studs; the durable plastic housing nestles back into its grooves, allowing the cleats to grip any slippery surface for confident footing. The uppers are made from waterproofed leather and rise 7 1/2" from the heel; zippers on either side makes for easy on/off. They are lined with wool and have removable felt insoles.
