The Superior Oxygen Displacing Argon Gas Wine Vault

This superior wine storage vault allows oenophiles to enjoy wine at the peak of flavor without losing precious taste and nose due to oxidation. Unlike lesser pump-based nitrogen gas systems that fail to wholly remove oxygen from a bottle of partially-consumed wine, this vault uses inert argon gas to completely displace oxygen through a specially designed reusable stopper, which vents oxygen through eight apertures in its body, maintaining a vacuum between the surface of the wine and the outside air, and thereby preserving and maximizing a wine's unique qualities for up to two weeks. Users fit the stopper onto an open bottle, attach the stopper's nozzle to the preservation system's valve, and push a button to inject the argon from an integral replaceable cartridge. The vault cradles up to 14 bottles horizontally using curved stainless steel shelves designed to fit most bottle shapes. Alternatively, users may sit one bottle vertically behind the vault¿s polycarbonate window to display its label, which allows 12 bottles to lay horizontally. Either configuration enables users to experiment with food pairings by opening bottles and storing them for later use. The inside of the vault¿s door has storage space for two included stoppers and an inset groove to accommodate larger sized bottles when fitted with the system's stopper (additional stoppers sold below). Six LEDs illuminate the interior, but will not alter the temperature of the vault. Users may set the vault to a "cellar temperature" of 55º-57º for reds or as low as 45º for whites.
