This is the canister vacuum from Dyson that uses the patented Root Cyclone technology found in Dyson uprights, the same powerful centrifugal force with no clogging or loss of suction. At the end of the 5 1/2' flexible hose is a telescopic aluminum cleaning wand that extends another 4' for an extra-long reach; combined with the hose, the vacuum provides a total reach of 28 1/4'. The wand compresses and wraps around the unit for easy portability and storage, and it has variable suction control that allows you to clean upholstery, curtains, or rugs without them sticking to the cleaner head. Its patented cleaner head geometry provides superior maneuverability; the heads central pivot point ensures optimal contact with the floor, even when t he head is turning. The 10" wide cleaning heads motorized brush bar uses powerful bristles to remove dirt and pet hair from carpets; a hardfloor tool with gentle bristles is included. The vacuum has a washable HEPA filter that never needs replacement, and the vacuum requires no bags. Approved for allergy sufferers by the British Allergy Foundation, the air expelled from the vacuum contains up to 150 times less mold and bacteria than the air you breathe.
