The T. Fox & Co. Extra Slim Umbrella

With an exceptionally thin profile when folded-4 inches in diameter furled at its widest point-this umbrella is made by T. Fox & Co. Ltd. of England. At their establishment, three generations of craftsmen have been constructing among the finest umbrellas available since the reign of Queen Victoria. Every umbrella is hand assembled. In the final stage of manufacture, each is hand ironed and rolled for a final inspection of the fabric before the handle and wood end are fitted. The classic English handle is hand-bent Malaccan cane. While their meticulous standards have not changed over the century, Fox adopts the most suitable canopy fabrics as they become available; they were the very first umbrella manufacturer to use nylon for covers. Unlike cotton, nylon provides longer service and wear. The canopy is Teflon coated for additional weather proofing. This umbrella opens manually to a generous 50-inch arc. Eight steel ribs.
