The Track Your Travels Lighted World Map

This is the wall-mounted world map that dramatically illuminates your international travels, cross-country family drives, and dream destinations, using multi-colored translucent pegs that glow when inserted into the map's back-lit surface. The map is made by Rand McNally, renowned cartographers since 1856, and depicts a 1":1,000 mile scale version of the world. Each country is shown in a different color and the map shows details such as the Pripyat marshes in Belarus and the smaller isolated islands of the Solomans in the Pacific. The map is lit by two 32-watt bulbs inside a black hardwood frame and light box that only extends 3" from a wall. It comes with 60 light pegs (10 each in six colors), allowing for a variety of different locat ion classifications, such as places traveled, desired vacations, and more.
