This is the traditional Scottish stoneware serving platter for salmon, the country’s prized fish from the icy waters of the north Atlantic. It is handcrafted by Highland Stoneware, one of Scotland’s premier potteries for over 40 years, providing distinctive serving pieces to Scottish castles, boathouses, hotels, and upscale residences. Artisans cut and model each platter one at a time to achieve the distinctive shape, then decorate it by hand so that no two are alike; a signature attests to the quality of the work. Two holes at the foot allow the platter to be hung on the wall for display or safekeeping. Oven safe. 17" L x 7 1/2" W x 3" H.
