These are the water-activated leakage barriers that absorb and contain indoor flooding from leaky water heaters, burst pipes, broken sump pumps, and bathroom overflows. Each dam contains an eco-friendly super-absorbent polymer that activates with water to create a gel, capable of absorbing up to 1.85 gallons of water. The dam lays flat until it makes contact with water, swelling up to 2 1/2" high within five minutes. It remains flexible and can be wrapped around the leaky object. The high-visibility orange outer fabric stretches to fully contain the gel. When the threat of more water is over, the dam can simply be disposed of with other ordinary trash. Pack of five dams. Each dam 48" L x 3 1/4" W.
