The Wireless Conference Pod Telephone

This omni-directional conference telephone receives and transmits crisp, clear sound, yet is cordless, eliminating the need to navigate and manage the tangle of cables that burden standard conference telephones, and making it easy to transfer the conference telephone between rooms. The conference phone pod simply rests at the center of a meeting space where it receives 2.4 GHz wireless signals from the base transmitter unit plugged into a nearby single line phone jack. The pod receives signals up to 100' away, so the telephone can be moved from a conference room to an office without dragging cords, unplugging and replugging, or multiple trips to carry multiple components. Full duplex sound capability enables clear conversations that eliminates voice cut-outs or clipped words, so conversations are always clear, and built-in noise cancellation technology constantly adjusts itself to optimize the audio for different room environments, reducing background noise so there's no need to shout to be heard. Three microphones are built into the conference pod, for crisp voice-transmission no matter where participants are seated around the table, and the phone operates for 6 hours of continuous talk time (80 hours of standby time) on its rechargeable NiMH batteries (the phone can also be used with an included AC adapter). A battery monitor shows the amount of battery life remaining, and the phone incorporates a call length display, 10 number memory, out-of-range indicator, illuminated LCD, 16 levels of volume control, redial, and echo cancellation ability. 4 1/2" H x 17 1/2" Diam.
