This digital video recorder allows you to record and watch your favorite TV programs from anywhere in the world as if you were sitting at home on your couch. The device connects to your TV, DVR, cable or satellite box and streams its live signal over your home network out to the Internet to your computer. The included software enables you to remotely control any A/V device to which the device is connected. It recreates an exact image of your remote--including the same buttons that you are used to pressing--on the screen of your computer, drawing from a database of over 1,000 popular brands of TVs, cable and satellite boxes, and DVRs. Programs can also be recorded to your laptop's hard drive as MPEG2 files for later viewing. You can also watch and record your programs from a computer on your home network.
