Each September in Egypt, harvesters gather the world-famous Gossypium barbadense, or Egyptian, cotton, which produces fibers 50% longer than other cotton varieties, resulting in cloth that is more durable, more colorfast, smoother, and more comfortable. Egyptian cotton comprises less than 1% of the worlds total cotton output and every ounce is certified by the Egyptian government, which requires that all fiber is hand-picked to preserve the delicate nature of the cotton balls. These lustrous 500-thread-count sheets are made of 100% pure Egyptian cotton with double-folded detail on the flat sheet and pillow case hem. The flat sheets are oversized so they can be tucked in deeply with out fear of pulling loose, yet still provide plenty of freedom of movement while sleeping.
