The broad tree has a more natural branch arrangement that makes it easier to see ornaments nestled further back without reducing the tree's full appearance. Thicker wire gauge in the branch tips means a ¿meatier¿ tree that can support larger, heavier ornaments without sagging or drooping. All the branch hinges have metal pins for added strength at stress points. We've added even more commercial-grade lights and the bulbs are better, with twist proof locks that snap the bulb firmly in place to prevent loose bulb loss, and longer lasting burn times for consistently reliable lighting year after year (an included light tester tells you in an instant which bulbs need to be replaced, ending long strand-by-strand searches). All the light strands are professionally strung, making the cords practically invisible against the branches, and an internal extension cord eliminates the need for unsightly power strips that dangle from lesser trees. The bottom branches are elevated 3" higher above the base to provide plenty of space for gifts. Set-up couldn't be simpler: it takes a mere 30 minutes to place the trunk and branch sections into place, and each section unfolds like an umbrella so there's never any need to wrestle with a cluster of unruly branches (a helpful step-by-step instruction book guides you through set up). Stand comes in one piece and it's not necessary to adjust it for proper balance¿simply set the tree up and it's ready to be decorated.
