Designed in Germany by Zassenhaus, crafters of fine hand-crank coffee bean mills since 1867, this is the authentic kaffeemühle. True to the original design, the kaffeemühle has a hardened steel conical burr and cone that yield evenly ground beans for well-balanced, flavorful coffee. Beans are placed in the cast aluminum bowl and the 5 1/2"-long stainless steel handle provides optimal torque for smooth rotation of the burr grinder, producing enough ground coffee in three minutes to brew six cups. Unlike electric blade machines, the manual burr grinder creates minimal heat, preserving the coffee beans' original aroma and flavor. The knurled nut below the handle rotates to produce a coarse grind for a French press or a fine grind for drip coffee or espresso.
