This is the three-speed bike that eliminates the rust and mess associated with greasy chain-driven bikes because it employs the same lubrication-free Kevlar belt drive technology used in Harley-Davidson motorcycles since 1980. The belt system is clean and dry to the touch, and generates 98% of the power of a normal chain drive system, yet requires no maintenance nor tension adjustment. The belt is 50% lighter than conventional chain/sprocket systems, and fits onto two injection molded front and rear composite sprockets that replace the front chainring and rear cassette of a typical bicycle, resulting in smooth pedaling with reliable performance, as the belt will not skip nor fal l off. The bikes three speeds are provided by an enclosed hub gear system that replaces a derailleur found in other bikes, resulting in effortless, grease- and skip-free shifting. The 19 3/4" all-aluminum unisex frame, measured from the center of the bottom bracket to the top of the seat tube, accommodates riders 5'7" to 6'2" tall, and has an adjustable 9" seat post topped by a wide ergonomic seat with integral elastomer springs, providing a custom fit and a cushioned ride. The sloping top tube provides a 27 1/2" stand-over height that allows easier mounting and dismounting. The 26" tires have alloy hubs and rims, and stainless steel spokes.
