This bag is handmade in Kenya from durable camel hides, renowned for its incredible tensile strength, providing a sturdy, convenient bag for weekend trips. The camel leather comes from sustainable camel farming operations in Kenya's arid Northern Frontier District, and with proper care, will last for a lifetime. The leather is tanned using a "pull up" technique that distresses over time for a weathered look. It is then embossed to give it a rich texture. The trim, sturdy double-backed handles, base, and corners are reinforced by durable cowhide that resists abrasion. The top closes with two brass clasps, and when opened, reveals a generous 100% cotton-lined interior with two pockets. All stress points are double-stitched using the finest threads.
