This kit allows junior geologists to learn how to safely grow up to 15 samples of colorful crystals using 13 mineralogy experiments. To start the process, premixed crystal-growing chemicals are dissolved in hot water, the solution cools, and crystals instantly begin to form. Plaster molds (included) provide a growing medium similar to natural rock, reproducing the way crystals grow and are shaped in nature--but far more quickly. Using the kit, plus everyday household objects, children can create geodes, gem-like single crystals, a crystal pyramid, jewelry, and more in various colors.
