This is the reproduction of the glass that was used in the Jacobite Rebellion to toast the defeated Prince Stuart. In the aftermath of his escape, “Bonnie Prince Charlie's” followers gathered in secret to toast their “King across the water” with “wee drams” or shots of fine Scotch. Since then, the loyalty of his followers has inspired a toasting tradition among friends, paired with this contemporary interpretation from Glencairn Crystal in East Kilbride, Scotland.
