This is the activity set that enables a child to design a maze and program a pair of robotic mice to race to the end. Utilizing basic elements of the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) curriculum, the kit provides young programmers with 16 board pieces, 22 walls, and three tunnels to assemble a multitude of layouts with varying levels of difficulty. A child then programs a path for each mouse to navigate using a series of codes and commands via buttons on the mouse’s back. Ideal for single or multiplayer games, children can compete with one another or team up to conquer a master labyrinth. Includes two mice, ten double-sided activity cards that provide design ideas, 30 cards for easy coding, and a piece of “cheese” for the mice. Requires six AAA batteries. Ages 5 and up.
