Product Story

Surfers wait for the perfect wave during the transition from the ebb tide to the flood cycle; sailors adjust their tactics for the current; swimmers prefer the middle to latter stages of high tide for their workout; clammers wait for low tide to dig--all are dependent on the tides. This watch allows anyone who plays, spends time near or competes in the ocean, from boogie boarders to kayakers to fisherman, to have the tidal schedule handy by displaying it on the face of the watch. A 50-year tide schedule is programmed with over 175 popular surfing and fishing spots throughout the world, from Cactus Beach, Australia to Casablanca, Morocco to Big Sur, California. This timepiece not only shows tidal time change, spring tide calculations, and a tide search (that calculates the highest and lowest tides of the month), but also a graphic display of where the tide is at any given moment. The watch also allows for custom input of three additional tide schedules to the data bank. Unlike other digital watches that use pins (that often fail and break) to join the straps and the face of the watch, the tidal sport watch is one complete piece. The face is molded directly into the ergonomically designed, one-piece strap. Other features include a chronograph, a countdown timer (especially useful for sailors), two alarms, dual time zone function and one-touch backlighting. The one piece polyurethane exterior has top-mounted buttons, mineral glass, a scratch-resistant crystal lens and is water-resistant up to 100 meters. Shock- and electrostatic-resistant. Pacific Blue.
